Thursday, March 19th— Private boat Brave Turtle caught and released a 350lb. blue marlin in 1100 feet of water due south og Sombrero Light. The marlin was fought for 35 minutes, brought alongside the boat where the hook was removed and it was released. The marlin struck a Softhead artificial lure and was caught on a 50ld test Penn Senator reel. Angler was Steve Higbie, mate was Paul Suarez, and captain was Mike Bowman.
